Simply bolt the brackets to your work bench and once you've assembled your short engine you can bolt it down onto the brackets. When you come to torque down your cylinder heads, shimming up those camshafts, or rotating the engine during the timing process you can focus on the job in hand the block cases aren't going to move at all, giving you total peace of mind!
If you plan on the transporting your built EJ engine, these brackets are also great for securing to a pallet or inside an engine crate, bolting the engine to them allowing it to be transported safely and securely knowing it's not going to move at all in transit.
